(Omnex: Ann Arbor, Mich.) — Omnex has announced its latest webinar, “Automotive SPICE for Cybersecurity,” scheduled for August 25, 2022 at 3:00 PM ET.
With V2X and over-the-air (OTA) communications, and vehicle development becoming increasingly software-defined, cybersecurity is at the heart of automotive product design. ISO/SAE 214—“Road Vehicles—Cybersecurity engineering” covers the concept, product development, production, operation, maintenance, and retirement cybersecurity risks of road vehicle electrical and electronic (E/E) systems, including components. Defines engineering requirements for management. and interface. Additionally, the UNECE R155 regulation requires, among other things, automakers to identify and manage cybersecurity risks in their supply chains.
Automotive SPICE is the VDA (German Automotive Industry) recommendation for identifying process-related product risks. Additional processes are defined in Automotive SPICE to incorporate cybersecurity-related processes into recommendations.
This webinar discusses topics within Automotive SPICE for cybersecurity and their relationship to both ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE R155 regulations. It also discusses considerations when implementing Automotive SPICE for cybersecurity.
