    Veteran Corporate Lawyer Joins Board of Tampa Financial Firm | Business Observer

    Todd Zhang, a veteran attorney at companies including Bloomin’ Brands and TECO Energy, has joined the board of directors of Tampa-based LM Funding America Inc. (NASDAQ: LMFA). in September. Successor to retired Joel Rogers.

    Zhang has spent most of his career in corporate advisory roles, specializing in securities, corporate governance, employee benefits, acquisitions and compliance, according to a news release. On November 28, he will assume his new position as Vice President and General Counsel of his Intertape Polymer Group Inc.

    From September 2020 to November 18, 2022, Zhang served as Director, Senior Counsel and Assistant Secretary to the Board of Bloomin’ Brands, the parent company of Outback Steakhouse and other national restaurant brands. He is the director of TECO Energy.

    “We are delighted to welcome Todd Zhang to the LM Funding Board of Directors,” LM Funding CEO Bruce Rodgers said in a release. “He brings a body of knowledge and experience across a wide range of areas including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, securities, M&A, etc. As a result, we are confident that our board will be sound as we move to the next phase of our Bitcoin mining strategy. I believe he will further drive us to prioritize sound corporate governance and regulatory compliance.”

    Rodgers added, “I would like to thank Joel Rodgers for his long and valuable service since our inception and through our most recent transition.”
