Warminster, Pennsylvania — A surge in support is coming to the family of a beloved woman who died suddenly days after giving birth to her second son on Monday.
A GoFundMe page has raised over $200,000 to support the family of Malvern Elementary School teacher Jennifer Krasna. Her husband, Jesse Krasna, is a renowned Warminster teacher and basketball coach.
Jennifer Krasna is described as “a wonderful mother, a devoted wife, a beloved daughter, a passionate teacher and an irreplaceable friend,” according to a GoFundMe founded by her friends.
“Jennifer Krasna tragically passed away just days after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy, Cade. Jen also left behind a 2-year-old son, Ty. His favorite person in the world.” was a mom, her husband and best partner and friend,” said Limerick’s Brianna Plaxe, who supports the Krasna Family’s GoFundMe page.
“A wonderful mother, a devoted wife, a beloved daughter, a passionate teacher, and an irreplaceable friend are hardly a scratchy description of a wonderful woman who has been robbed of us too soon.
“She never let anyone question what they meant to her. She cherished every second she spent with the people she loved. She cherished the beautiful life she built with Jessie.” We are heartbroken, without her our lives would be forever different.”
The news shocked and saddened the Bucks County community. Compliments and words of support from people in the school and basketball community flooded social media.
Plaxe is trying to raise enough money to cover funeral costs and other future expenses.
Plaxe posted on Wednesday thanking supporters for their donations.
“Jessie is overwhelmed with the love, support and generosity from her family, friends and community. Thank you so much,” she said.
A funeral service will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home at 2200 Trenton Road on Sunday, December 4th from 9:00 am to noon. in Levittown.
Nate Ross, a communications and marketing specialist at Centennial School District, said Krasna is a health and physical education teacher at Willowdale Elementary School.
According to the Pure Skills Hoops website, Jesse Krasna is the men’s basketball coach at Council Rock North High School. The 2010 Pensbury High School graduate is also one of the all-time winningest players in Pensbury basketball history, posting a 93-25 record over four years, according to the website. said in Krasna’s profile.
