On 11 December 2021, the Official Gazette El Peruano issued Resolution No. 028-2021-OEFA/CD, creating the Environmental Monitoring Report Registration Module (“IMA module“) as an electronic means that persons controlled under the jurisdiction of OEFA must comply with when submitting environmental monitoring reports. In accordance with the provisions of the above standards, the implementation of the IMA module will be implemented step by step. It will be executed.
Thus, Board Resolution 060-2021-OEFA/CD of 31 December 2021 published the first list of owners of activities under the jurisdiction of OEFA who are permitted to enter and use the IMA module. it was done. Among them were several major agricultural and electric companies.
On November 24, 2022, the Chairman’s Resolution No. 0068-2022-OEFA/PCD was issued. A second list of owners of activities eligible for entry and use in the IMA module (Phase 2) under the jurisdiction of OEFA has been approved. Therefore, a 90-day trial period has started on November 25, 2022. During this trial period, the above companies will need to learn and become familiar with the usability and usage of the IMA module. During this period, use of the IMA module is optional and OEFA will prioritize supervisory actions using an orientation approach.
After the trial period ends, the above companies are obliged to submit a monitoring report through the IMA module.
