NorState Federal Credit Union and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Davenport as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of NorState FCU. He will assume the CEO position following the retirement of Susan G. Whitehead, who has held the position for over nine years.
Madawaska, Maine — NorState Federal Credit Union and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Davenport as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of NorState FCU. He will assume the CEO position following the retirement of Susan G. Whitehead, who has held the position for over nine years.
“The Board looks forward to working closely with Jeff as the organization’s new CEO,” said Shelly Locke of the Board. “Jeff brings years of invaluable credit union experience and knowledge to this role and a commitment to the communities we serve.”
Davenport has over 35 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry as a credit union executive. Prior to his appointment as NorState FCU EVP/Chief Operating Officer in November 2021, he served as a strategy consultant for CUNA Mutual Group, which works with credit unions of all sizes. Across the eastern half of the United States, there are financial and strategic management issues. In this role, he was also a member of the Credit Union Speakers Bureau and gave presentations on important credit union topics at national and regional conferences. Over the past two decades, Davenport has also served on various advisory boards, boards and committees within the credit union industry throughout the Northeast.
“I am very much looking forward to working with NorState employees, volunteers and members,” he said. “We will continue the credit union culture of People Helping People, balancing the ever-evolving world of financial services with the way those services are delivered to our members.”
Davenport and his wife Sherry live in Fort Fairfield, where they grew up. He began his duties as president and CEO of his NorState on December 1st.
