Architecture, engineering and design firm Gresham Smith has announced changes and additions to its board of directors effective January 1. These changes include:
• CEO and Director Rodney Chester was elected Chairman of the Board. Chester, who has been with the company for 24 years, was the former president of the Tennessee chapter of the Engineering Enterprise Council of America. He is also a Trustee of GraceWorks Ministries and a member of the Advisory Board of his alma mater, the University of Alabama.
• Chairman of the Board Al Pramuk will step down from his role on the Board when his term expires at the end of 2022. He will continue to work part-time with the company, focusing on the relationship between the government and the community in Middle Tennessee, in addition to the company’s overall growth. Initiative and mentoring assignments.
• The role of Vice-Chairman of the Board will be added, with Kent Black, Atlanta-based Director and Executive Vice President of Transportation.
Transition of board members:

JLL Expands Healthcare Operations in Nashville

JLL expands its healthcare operations in the Southeast with the appointment of David Cripe as senior vice president of project and development services in the company’s Nashville office.
Cripe brings over 25 years of project management experience to JLL and will focus on expanding the PDS team’s healthcare portfolio and capabilities throughout the Southeast.
Prior to joining JLL, Cripe held key roles at GHP, Skanska, and Yale University. Throughout his career, he has worked with clients such as HCA, Virginia Hospital Center, and Loyola University Medical Center on over $1 billion in capital projects.
JLL forecasts that the healthcare sector will grow by 20.7% over the next decade. In the Southeast, increased migration to Sunbelt markets has further increased the need for new health facilities.
Stream Realty Partners Hires VP of Leasing Division

Griffin Farriss has been hired as Vice President of Leasing for Stream Realty Partners, a domestic real estate services, development and investment firm.
Farris focuses on sourcing, acquiring and executing office and industrial businesses across all service lines including leasing, investment sales, tenant and landlord representation. He came to the stream from Cresa in the Los Angeles area.
Farriss graduated from the University of Southern California, spent the last ten years at Cresa, and was named a Principal in 2019. Farriss won Cresa’s Rising Star Award and President’s Award during his tenure.
Stream Nashville has 20 employees and manages a portfolio of approximately 1.5 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space.
Cooley Public Strategies Drives Wiggs Partnership

Public Affairs Consultant Lauren Wiggs has experience in digital media, community engagement, event planning, volunteer coordination and is the newest Associate of Cooley Public Strategies.
A graduate of Clemson University and from Irmo, South Carolina, Wiggs joined the company as an intern in January and has been a long-serving CPS fellow since April. She earned a degree in Political Science and minors in history and psychology.
Nashville State Counsel Receives Regents Award
Dawn Moore, a retired U.S. Sergeant Major and current Student Success Veteran Advisor at Nashville State Community College on the Clarksville Campus, was presented with the Tennessee Board of Directors’ Chairman’s Commendation for Veterans Affairs.
Moore was honored at Nashville’s Veterans Day celebration at the Clarksville campus. A celebration honoring veterans was also held at Nashville State University’s White Bridge campus.
TBR Prime Minister Flora W. Tydings established the Awards in 2020 as system-level awards to honor the service, bravery and sacrifice of veterans. Her 39 Presidential Commendation recipients for 2022 include 14 students, 14 faculty members and 11 university staff members. 18 served in the Army, 8 in the Marines, 8 in the Navy, 3 in the Air Force, 1 in the Coast Guard, and 1 in the National Guard.
After high school, Moore enlisted in the Army on July 26, 1989 and retired on July 31, 2017. She was born in Anguilla, West Indies and raised in St. Thomas, USVI.
TriStar Welcomes Chief Nursing Officer

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center has hired Chad Cassion as Chief Nursing Officer for its 136-bed hospital. Cashion leads nursing practice and supports care experience initiatives that promote quality outcomes, superior patient care, and an engaged nursing workforce.
Cashion previously served as Deputy Chief Nursing Officer at TriStar Summit Medical Center in the Hermitage.
Cashion has over 14 years of experience as a nursing educator. For the last ten years, he has held consecutive leadership positions at his TriStar Summit Medical Center, most recently as Deputy Chief Nursing Officer.
Cassion holds an MBA in Health Care Management from Western Governors University and also holds a degree in Nursing. Cashion is chair of the Wilson County Healthcare Council and is part of the American Organization for Nurse Executives, the American Nurses Association, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
