DALLAS, Nov. 01, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Michael (Mike) Adelberg is today appointed Executive Director of the National Dental Plan Association (NADP). Adelberg will serve the Association for ten years, of which he will succeed Eme Augustini, of whom he was Managing Director for three years.

Adelberg came to NADP after leading healthcare providers for Faegre Drinker Consulting, planning a practice in Washington, DC. His practice focused primarily on insurance benefits, including dental benefits. Prior to joining Faegre Drinker Consulting, Mike held several senior positions with his Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Adelberg was responsible for establishing the Affordable Care Act policy for children’s dental insurance and independent dental plans. Prior to that, he oversaw Medicare Advantage Plan contracts and market conduct, including supplemental dental benefits.

Adelberg holds a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in history from Rutgers University. He has authored or co-authored research in leading journals such as: health problems, American Journal of Managed CareWhen health services researchled or co-led four foundation projects and has been quoted in major media outlets, including New York Times,Washington Positionand NPR.org.
