WILLIAMSBURG — The League of Women Voters in the Williamsburg area will once again sponsor the popular Foreign Policy Association series, “Great Decisions,” in 2023.
The series offers eight lectures every Tuesday morning starting in February.
This is the 40th year that the League of Women Voters of Williamsburg has brought the program to the library.
Topics scheduled for this year include energy geopolitics, war crimes, China and the United States, economic warfare, Latin American politics, global famine, Iran at the crossroads, and climate change.
“For many years, the League of Women Voters in the Williamsburg District (LWV-WA) has implemented a major decision program as a key component of its civic education mission,” said Don Schilling, director of the series. increase. “Given the complexity of today’s global environment, this program is more essential than ever. Topics are timely and expert speakers address them with great insight.”
Registration is now open for league members and past non-league attendees, but the general public can sign up on the League of Women Voters website beginning December 7. The individual fee is $65 and includes one briefing book published by the Foreign Policy Association. Family/household registration is $90.
