In 2017, Coup was the first employee hired as Innovation Manager at Koppers, tasked with bringing creative thinking and engagement to the long-standing manufacturing company. She has made great strides. For example:
- Led the design of the Koppers Innovation Space, a place for employees to connect and collaborate on the 29th floor of the Koppers building.
- Create a company-wide innovation program called iShare. It is a digital platform where employees can submit ideas and have them objectively evaluated for implementation.
- Conceptualize and promote the Koppers Idea Summits. This is a collection of small cross-functional teams to envision around a specific theme. The summit generated over 750 ideas, including Koppers’ first organically created startup.
Coup is a regular volunteer and an alumnus on the board of directors of Beverly’s Birthdays, a non-profit organization serving underprivileged children.
