daa’s new chief executive is Corkman Kenny Jacobs, who was appointed last Friday to a seven-year term.
He is expected to assume the role in January, replacing Dalton Phillips, who left at the end of the summer.
Kenny Jacobs has marketing, commercial and operational experience in a variety of large consumer facing businesses, including Ryanair. He spent over six years at Ryanair as Chief Marketing Officer, where he led Digital, Customer Service, Marketing and Communications. During his career he gained international experience with companies such as Metro Group, MoneySuperMarket, Tesco Ireland & UK and Ryanair.
daa has interests in airport and travel retail business in 15 countries around the world. daa’s main activities include the operation of Ireland’s Dublin and Cork airports, global airport retailing through his subsidiary Aer Rianta International (ARI), and international aviation consulting and investment through daa International. The company is state owned and headquartered at Dublin Airport.
