Callaway County Administrator Elected to National Commission
Callaway County Administrative Administrator Karen Di Allen was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of the National Guardian Association.

South Callaway School District Seeks Replacement of High School Marquee Signs
MOKANE — The South Callaway School District is working to fix the marquee sign on the front of the high school building.
Cory Pontius, principal of the South Callaway School District, said the school board had decided to explore options for modifying the existing marquee.
The current sign is dilapidated and in need of major repairs.

Local Library Releases Statement Against Proposed Rule Change
The Daniel Boone Regional Library recently released a statement opposing a rule proposed by the Missouri Secretary of State.
Jay Ashcroft submitted Rule Change 15 CSR 30-200.015 Library Accreditation Requirements for the Protection of Minors. The language of the proposed rule states that state librarians will not distribute funds to state-funded libraries that go against the rules written in the rule.
Fulton man convicted of recording minors
A Fulton man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for secretly recording two teenagers.
Craig Glover, 52, pleaded guilty in July to attempting to create child pornography and admitted to installing hidden cameras in one victim’s bedroom and a second victim’s bathroom. He was sentenced Wednesday in the Western District Court of Missouri.

Fulton High School is working hard to produce Mamma Mia
This week, Fulton High School’s Performing Arts Department will present “Mamma Mia.”
“Mamma Mia” is based on a song by ABBA, a Swedish pop/dance group active from 1972-82. ABBA is one of the most popular international pop groups of all time, charting at number one in countries such as Europe, North and South. America and Australia.
Afghanistan’s Fulton family appreciates being part of their community
Sardar Sherzad, who spent 15 years in Fulton, resettled six families from his native Afghanistan at Rotary’s Thanksgiving program on Wednesday.
In her presentation, Sherzad told us to make our hearts and minds aware of our heritage and protect its values.
He talked about showing kindness to the most vulnerable people in society and caring for the world for future generations.
