MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HII (NYSE: HII) is pleased to announce that its Mission Technologies Division is committed to developing research, analytical, electronic warfare (EW) and electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) capabilities. The EMS Superiority Development Task Order was awarded under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center (DOD IAC) Multiple Contract (MAC) vehicle. USAF 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, part of the USAF Installation Contracting Center, awards his DOD IAC MAC Task Order through a competitive process.
HII has been supporting the program since 2017 and has been working with DCS Corporation, Modern Technology Solutions Inc., On-Line Applications Research Corporation, Southwest Research Institute and Vanderbilt University in teams for five years.
The HII team produced technical recommendations for the Advanced Capabilities and Strategic Integration Team, part of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Electronic Warfare and Avionics Division, and provided AFLCMC leaders with EW and EMS capability development and guidance. Provides decision-quality information on modernization. Research areas include artificial intelligence and machine learning, cyber and microelectronics.
HII research and analysis will be leveraged by the USAF to provide the rigor of systems engineering needed to reduce technical risk, provide technology maturity, and improve fighter survivability while reducing total lifecycle costs. to achieve
