With 33 years of experience, Jorge has been named Latin American Tax Litigation and Dispute Practice Leader of the Year (2020) by International Tax Review. He has been nominated as a Guide to the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisors. He has been ranked as one of Mexico’s leading tax professionals by Chambers & Partners every year since 2011 and, as of 2018, in two different areas. He has been ranked as one of Mexico’s top tax dispute attorneys by the Legal 500 and World Tax, and has a very strong practice in tax rulings, treaties and litigation, as well as transfer pricing. and has been praised by renowned international publications for its work in corporate restructuring. As of October 2014, Baker serves as Chair of Mackenzie’s Global Tax Dispute Resolution Group. He previously served as Chair of the Latin America Tax Group, Member of Baker McKenzie’s Global Tax Steering Committee, Member of Baker McKenzie’s Global Transfer Pricing Subgroup and Chair of the Latin America Value Added Tax Practice. Group and member of Baker McKenzie’s Global Value Added Tax Steering Committee. As of October 2013, he has been appointed as a member of the Baker He He McKenzie Global Financial He He Committee, which represents Latin America. He is a founding member of the Legislative Tax Analysis Group (ATRIL).
