The Oxley: A classic British/British pub. You would think it was snugly hidden in the City/West End/Zone 1 of London. British beer, great Victorian ambiance and great traditional yet playful pub food. Located in the exclusive Yorkville district.
The Queen & Beaver: Similar atmosphere and beer selection to above, but feels like you’ve been to Maida Vale. . . fares are still definitely pub, but they’ve gone up in price. Located downtown.
The Dog & Bear: Still British/British in spirit and vibe, but a bit more Canadian and a little more dive, like a sports bar. The food is similar to Canadian bar food, but well done. great beer selection. Located on Queen Street West in a pretty hip neighborhood, Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm he’ll dance with his DJ after 11pm.
Elephant & Castle: British/English pub with a great beer selection, classic ambiance and very good food. Located in the entertainment district and close to the financial district.
Hemingway’s: New Zealand pub with a great atmosphere. Food is nothing special. The beer selection and crowd are always great. Again, in Yorkville, but not too fancy, very friendly, interesting, wide clientele.
