Matthew “Matt” Snyder Appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Snyder has more than 25 years of experience in leading organizational process improvement and risk initiatives through interactions with management, boards and audit committees, and has recently worked in integrated audit, enterprise risk, special investigations, privacy and and compliance. This new division represents CareFirst’s continued ability to properly analyze and manage risk, and Snyder will oversee this core function, ensuring the organization remains competitive and healthy in the industry.
He has also been a partner in a large multinational audit and advisory firm leading risk assurance services for major healthcare organizations. Additionally, he was a member of his World 50 Chief Risk Officers. This is a private community for his CROs from globally respected organizations who share their experiences to discover better ideas.

I love my current job and have no intention of changing anything. If I hadn’t followed my current path, I would have chosen to teach and coach at the high school level. Our family explored Alpine Pass in Colorado, Arches National Park in Utah and Rubicon Springs in California this summer. My children immediately asked when we could return. So I can say it was a great time for all of us.
