Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today (August 22, 2022) called on government officials to serve the people to the best of their ability.

“You must be a servant of the people. Serving the people is the greatest responsibility. All of you must work in that direction,” she said.

The Prime Minister said this while working on a program to mark the completion of the 73rd basic training course by awarding a course completion certificate at the Bangladesh Administrative Training Center (BOATC) in Sabar.

She attended the program virtually from her official residence, Gono Babang. She said it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure the welfare of the people of this country.

“This is our country. It is our responsibility to ensure the welfare of the masses. This must always be kept in mind,” she said.

She called on newly appointed government officials to focus on the welfare of the people and the development of the country.

“If the people at the grassroots level are doing well, the country’s economic development is inevitable,” she said.

Minister of State for Public Administration Farhad Hossein, Senior Secretary of State for Public Administration KM Ali Azam and BPATC Rector Ramendra Nath Biswas also spoke at the event. Al Mahmud Hasan and Farzana Yasmin spoke on behalf of the trainees.

An audiovisual was shown at the program.

The Minister of State distributed certificates to the participants on behalf of the Prime Minister.
