Lenin Agudo, Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Widener University, has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Board of Directors of Tompkins Community Bank. Agudo brings over 15 years of economic development experience to the Board and is dedicated to empowering communities through public policy and economic growth.

As Director of Widener’s SBDC, Agudo leads three major economic development programs in eastern Pennsylvania. He is a Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAC), Small Business Environmental Management Assistance Program (EMAP), and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Program.
Prior to his position at Widener College, Agde was Director of Community and Economic Development for the City of Reading. He started his career as a senior consultant to various national and international organizations, including the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the United Nations Association in the Dominican Republic.
Agudo holds an MBA from Katstown University, a graduate certification in economic growth and development from the University of Pennsylvania, and a certification in optimizing organizational performance from the Kennedy Executive Education School at Harvard University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Wyomissing Foundation and the Board of Directors of the Community First Fund (CDFI).

Monica Reyes has been promoted to Vice President of Programs and Initiatives at the Berks County Community Foundation. Reyes previously served as the Community Foundation’s Health and Human Services Program Officer.

As Vice President, Reyes manages the Community Foundation’s team of Program Officers and oversees the distribution of grants from more than 370 charitable foundations.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, he worked in the office of State Senator Judy Schwank. There she specialized in health and welfare issues and coordinated with local, state, and federal agencies. In this role, she served on community boards and social change initiatives in Pennsylvania’s 11th Senate District. She also held a supervisory position at a national research company.
Reyes holds a BA in Political Science with a minor in French from the University of Katstown and an MA in Public Administration from the University of Westchester.
