An online meeting of the Flintshire Council cabinet was interrupted by a man who engaged in what he believed to be a sexual act after gaining access to a video call link.
The council revealed it was considering security settings at the meeting so that “only designated officers can share content.”
The BBC said councilors were “shocked and appalled” after their Zoom screens were hijacked and men were seen engaging in what appeared to be sexual acts.
The disruption to the meeting began when “I heard voices talking to lawmakers.”

The public can watch the meeting online, but they can only share content if they are given a link.
The meeting was called off “within seconds” of the incident, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
A Flintshire Council spokesperson said: We assume that only officers and councilors can join the meeting as participants.
“Following this incident, we are reviewing our meeting security settings to ensure that only designated executives can share content.
“Also remind all councilors that the link is exclusive to them and that the public can watch the meeting via livestream on our website.”
