Former Tata Sands chairman Cyrus Mistry died Sunday in a road accident in Maharashtra

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman described Mr Mistry’s death as a “shock” and praised the businessman for his contribution to India’s economic development.

Roads and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari also expressed his condolences on the passing of the former chairman of Tata Sands. “He is deeply saddened to learn that former chairman of Tata Sands Cyrus Mistry Gee passed away in a road accident near Palgarh, Maharashtra,” Gadkari wrote.
