Broadridge Financial Solutions, a US-based fintech company, has appointed Martin Koopman, President of Bank Broker-Dealer (BBD) ICS, as its new Chief Product Officer. Broadridge announced Monday that executive appointments will take effect by his January 1, 2023 date.
Koopman is a business executive with over 23 years of industry experience in investor communications, capital markets and institutional trading. He has worked for top organizations such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Euronext and the Boston Consulting Group.
The executive co-founded Cameron systems, a stock exchange connectivity company based on the FIX protocol, and led its sale to Orc Software, now called Itiviti. He joined Broadridge in 2014 as Head of Strategy for the company’s Investor Communication Services (ICS). He was later named president of his BBD ICS in 2017 and helped “steer its business through a period of double-digit growth and innovation.”
Broadridge, which provides technology-driven solutions to banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, asset managers and publicly traded companies, said Koopman will be responsible for enterprise product vision and strategy. He reports to his CEO, Tim Gokey.
The fintech company also said Koopman will work toward “building an enterprise-wide platform that benefits Broadridge customers, empowering product management teams, and working with technical teams to accelerate innovation.” I expect
Of Koopman’s appointment, Gorky said that Koopman’s “track record of driving product innovation at both Broadridge and previous companies will be ‘invaluable’ for fintech companies. Koopman said he is excited to lead the company’s efforts as it scales to become one of the world’s leading fintech companies serving governance and capital markets as well as asset and investment managers.

Prior to Broadridge, Koopman was senior vice president of corporate strategy and implementation at NYSE Euronext. Based in New York City, he has been with the company for four years since 2010.
The executive joined NYSE Euronext from Orc Software, where he served as President of North America for three years. He joined the company after it acquired Cameron Systems, a company he co-founded. However, Orc Software is now part of Broadridge.
At The Boston Consulting Group, Koopman was a management consultant, where he worked for one year from 1999-2001. Executive holds a BA in Economics, Finance and Political Science from the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
