Under the terms of the agreement, Regreen and Viecotech will become fifty-fifty partners in the manufacture, distribution and deployment of Regreen’s patented waste management and treatment systems and technology across Asia Pacific markets. Viecotech will provide the joint venture with land, manufacturing facilities, engineering and personnel, and Regreen will contribute exclusive use of its technology and engineering drawings.
There is an existing site on Con Dao Island off the west coast of Vietnam where the deployment of the Regreen system has been confirmed. Con Dao has a stockpile of municipal solid waste (MSW) and agricultural waste ready to be processed and converted into biofuels and clean electricity. One Regreen system at 15 tons per hour can process and abate 300 tons of MSW per day. The process cleans up waste sites, generates a valuable residual income stream through the sale of sterile pellets and biofuels, and can generate up to 7.5MW of electricity per installation of this size.
