Metron, Dalkia, BNP Paribas and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have partnered on the Decarb Fast Track program aimed at helping 100 industrial companies reduce their energy consumption and reach their CO2 emission reduction targets is created.
Once 100 successful candidates based in France and across Europe are identified, they will receive subsidized access to an energy management and optimization toolbox funded by each partner company’s contribution to the programme.
A common reduction target is presented and an initiative aimed at reducing each company’s energy consumption by 10% is offered. AWS hosts METRON’s energy management solutions. The solution resides at each company’s site to monitor and analyze consumption and emissions in real time.
Experts from four partner companies will support participating companies for two years to help build, finance and implement energy performance projects.
Through this initiative, companies aim to demonstrate the actions that private sector organizations can take to accelerate the industry’s transition to environmental protection. They want to encourage more involvement in energy optimization strategies, as decarbonisation is a key issue for the economy and the environment.
METRON CEO Vincent Sciandra said: In the current context of the energy crisis and climate emergency, there is an urgent need to accelerate the deployment of solutions that enable fast and efficient implementation of energy conservation and decarbonization action plans. ”
Antoine Sire, Head of Corporate Engagement at BNP Paribas, added: Through our “Decarb Fast Track” program, we are helping major industrial companies to scale up their climate commitments as required by the current energy landscape. ”
